Body, Mind, Canvas: Exploring the Root Chakra Thru Art & Yoga is a unique event where we will dive into the world of the root chakra through a blend of art and yoga. Join me at Our Space and then Love Tiya Caniel Studio located inside the VAPA Center for a day of self-discovery and creativity.
Through guided yoga practice and art exercises, we will explore the themes of grounding, stability, and security associated with the root chakra. This event is perfect for anyone looking to connect with their body, mind, and spirit in a new and exciting way.

Abstract scrape painting workshop
Join me for an intuitive art class where we will explore color theory, scrape painting, and mark-making.
Scrape art or scrape painting is a form of abstract painting where you use a tool to scrape paint across a surface, thereby creating mostly random patterns of colors and textures. Scrape painting is one of my favorite painting techniques to use when creating intuitive art. It allows so much space for creative play and exploring color theory, not to mention the freedom of applying paint solely for the pleasure of seeing what happens when one color is layered over another. This is the method I love using to create the backgrounds in my “Walking Meditations”, “Mantras” and “Dreamscapes” artwork.
Mark-making (another one of my favorite techniques) is the simple action of producing marks on a surface like paper, canvas, or textile. This technique can be used to add details and texture to a piece of artwork.
This workshop is a 2.5-hour offering with supplies, great vibes, and light refreshments included.

Abstract Art Paint & Sip
Join me in my art studio at the VAPA Center for a fun and creative in-person event where you can unleash your artistic side and explore the practice of abstract art-making. This is a very relaxed offering, and while there will be gentle guidance, this is not a structured class. We'll set an intention for our time together, paint, laugh, and vibe to good music. No prior experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to try something new!
Supplies will be provided. Bring yourself and your snacks & beverage of choice. I won't have ice but you are free to bring a small cooler or wine bucket. I do have a small refridgerator in the studio. Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore your own creative practice and self-expression in a relaxed, small group setting.
